Waterfowl hunts

It’s a controversial hobby, but being in a quiet, misty marsh can’t get much better than this. We spend our weekends in the mud, whether we're getting the boat stuck in some place we shouldn’t be trying to go, or we’re sitting in it on a little dove stool. While I don’t go as much as I should, when I do go, I like to encompass the good times that we have. The dog’s first retrieve, the banded bird that we get to register, the bliss of being with good friends. Sometimes it isn’t about the bird in the moment, it’s just about the moment.
